The International HIV/AIDS Alliance supports community action on HIV, health and human rights to end AIDS. Our vision is a world in which communities have brought an end to HIV transmission, and secured their health and human rights. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.
We are seeking a Senior Grant Adviser who will be responsible for helping to ensure that the programmatic components and deliverables of the Link Up programme are well addressed. This role requires an understanding of programmatic systems and deliverables and of our contract obligations to the programme’s donor. It will involve balancing competing priorities so as to manage risks while ensuring the delivery of a high quality programme. The role will involve a significant level of autonomy and may include actively overseeing:
- Programme monitoring and results;
- Technical and Organisational Development support;
- Programme implementation in three project countries;
- Communication of programme results.
A significant focus of the role will be to liaise and work with teams across the Alliance Secretariat, as well as with international partners, to ensure programme delivery and quality as well as effective knowledge sharing and learning.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of the socio-economic and political realities of HIV work and experience in programme implementation and results monitoring; knowledge management and communications; and fundraising; as well as detailed practical knowledge of at least one of the following: SRHR; working with young people; working with key populations and demonstrable relevant work experience in providing support to and oversight of complex projects.
