The International HIV/AIDS Alliance works with communities through local, national and global action on HIV, health and human rights. Our vision is a world without AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is seeking a Regional Advisor: Business Development and Representation to work on new programme development in order to increase and diversify the funding base for relevant West, Central and North African countries. They will work closely with the Regional Team and the Business Development team to identify and respond to new funding opportunities within the region and to provide expertise to support the development of resource mobilisation capacity in-country. They will be required to support in-country programme facilitation and to network, advocate and represent the Alliance externally.
The Regional Advisor: Business Development and Representation will be a highly motivated individual with demonstrable relevant work experience within the region or in a developing country context. They will have sound understanding in a relevant field (HIV/AIDS, public health, sustainable development, and/or human rights) and extensive experience of African NGO support at the field level.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of strategising and developing donor relationships in Africa and in accessing funding through developing proposals for Government and multilateral sources. Strong spoken and written language skills in both English and French are essential requirements.
